Rental Process:

  1. Do I need to know how to fly a drone in order to rent one?
    • No.  It does help if you have some experience flying a drone, but we have provided links to some video tutorials that can help you get off the ground.
  2. How do I rent a drone?
    • You can reserve a drone by clicking on the "Reserve a Drone" option on the homepage or the main menu.
  3. Do you offer multi-day discounts?
    • No, not at this time.
  4. What does it cost to rent a drone?
    • You can see the list of our products and pricing here.
  5. I don't live near your shop.  Can I rent a drone from you and have you ship it to me?
    • No.  We only rent locally.
  6. If I do wreck a drone, will I be liable for damage?
    • Yes.  We do offer a drone protection plan for an additional fee.  If you have not purchased the drone protection plan, you will be liable for any damage sustained to the equipment during your rental period.
  7. Why do you require a credit card authorization for damage costs if I rent a drone?
    • Drone accidents are rare, but they do happen from time to time. We require a credit card authorization when you rent a drone to cover damages.   Check out our user agreement for more details.
  8. Are there late fees if I don't return things in time?
    • All rentals must be returned by 8 a.m. the following day no matter what time you originally picked up the drone.  Any multi-day rental must be returned by 8 a.m. of the due date.  Late fees will accrue for any late returns.  See our user agreement for more information.
  9. What if I need to cancel a reservation?
    • No problem.  If you need to cancel you can contact us and we'll take care of it for you.  However, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a refund.  No refund will be made for reservations cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.

Our Drones:

  1. Why should I rent a drone?
    • Renting is an inexpensive way to try out different drones and provides a fun, cost-effective way to capture amazing aerial footage.
  2. How is video footage stored?
    • The drone holds a removable SD card that stores the recorded footage. The Yuneec Breeze is the only drone that doesn't have a removable SD card.
  3. Do I need to supply my own SD card?
    • Yes.  We can also provide you with an SD card for an additional cost.   On the Breeze, you will need to manage video data through the Breeze app.
  4. How long does the drone's battery last?
    • Battery life varies from drone to drone.  It is typically 10-15 minutes on the smaller drones up to 27 minutes on the larger drones.  If a longer flight time is important, you should rent one of the larger drones.
  5. How long does it take to recharge the battery?
    • It depends on the drone, but most drone batteries need 1-2 hours for a full charge.
  6. Can the drones fly in the wind?
    • Yes, but the drones should only be flown when gusts are 10 mph or less.  Flying the drone in windy weather may have an adverse effect on video quality and will likely shorten battery life.
  7. Can the drones be flown in the rain or snow?
    • No. Flying the drone in wet conditions will damage the drone.

Legal Stuff:

  1. Where can I fly the drones?
    • Outdoors.  Just make sure to follow local laws and ordinances.  The FAA has a useful app to give you the information you need to know before flying a drone for the first time.  For more information click here.
